INFORMATION

PALOMA has been supplying customised school uniforms to nursery, pre-prep, prep and senior schools, boys and girls, in the UK for the last fifteen years.

We do not confine you to a fixed stock range, but instead respond to your individual requirements. For example, if you would like your summer dress to be either front or back opening, we will suggest a range of designs to include this, or if you have a sample or an idea you would like to pursue, come and talk to us.

Our starting point is with you, the school. We are aware that your uniform is an important aspect of your corporate image, and we will discuss with you how this can best be reflected in the uniform.

All our garments are machine washable, and many can be tumble-dried. We give clear labels concerning wash-care. This includes our outerwear styles, Snowdon, Keswick and Alexandra, and all knitwear. The only exceptions we can think of are structured hats and tailored jackets.

We aim to increase the life of each garment by including as many practical design features as possible, eg. double length cuffs on quilted jackets, adjustable button elastic on waistbands, two inch hems on all pinafores and non-pleated skirts (unheard of for schoolwear!) Also, we only use fabrics that have been specified by fabric manufacturers as 'fit for purpose'. (Our summer dresses usually find their way into the second-hand sale after being outgrown by a younger sister.)

There is no charge for the design consultation work that is usually necessary to carry forward your ideas. If a visit to your school is required, the first is free, and all others if you proceed with PALOMA. So that you can visualise the new image, we like to produce samples before proceeding with the new uniform. You will be informed if there is a charge to any sample requested, (standard production cost), but most samples are free and returnable to PALOMA.

Sometimes schools require the supply of one garment only to improve what would otherwise be a successful uniform. (We are regularly asked to update for example a traditional outer garment.) We are happy to undertake the supply of one item only.

Over time, we have come to recognise particular garments and styles that really do work. If you are unsure about how to proceed, or have a 'problem' garment, pleas call us : we are happy to take time to discuss with you over the phone before arranging any samples or visits.
